Community Advanced Practice Nurses (CAPN) provides free physical, mental and preventive health care to homeless and medically underserved individuals and families in Metropolitan Atlanta. Our services have been extended to the individuals and families displaced from their homes due to the devastating destruction of Hurricane Katrina. Our expertise in the issues of homeless populations extends beyond medical care and has allowed us to become a resource center through which evacuees can navigate the bureaucracies designed to assist them with reestablishing their lives. With humble hearts, we have and will continue to provide health care and other resources to storm evacuees. We assure you that with the support of the Metropolitan Atlanta community, Hurricane Katrina evacuees will not only be provided with quality health care and referral services, but they will also have a foundation upon which to call Atlanta home.
