What is the Community Advanced Practice Nurses (CAPN) Healthcare Clinic?
The CAPN Clinic is a free clinic offering basic physical and mental health care and prevention education to the homeless and medically underserved in metropolitan Atlanta. It is an independent nonprofit funded by grants, businesses, and individuals.
What services are provided at the CAPN clinics?
CAPN provides walk-in clinics for infants, children, teens and adults in need of medical attention for primary and acute care needs. CAPN also offers social service referrals, mental health services and healthy lifestyle counseling as well.

CAPN is open for walk-in patients each weekday — Monday and Thursday from 2 - 6 PM, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 8 AM - 1 PM.

Our patients primarily come to us through word of mouth, as well as through collaborations with other Atlanta area service organizations. Our walk-in clinics are open to the public and new patients are welcome.
Do patients pay for services?
Patients may make a small donation at the time of the visit, although this is not required. No one is turned away because of an inability to pay.
Does the Clinic help patients who need specialty care?
For services that the clinic is not equipped to provide, such as dental and specialty treatments, CAPN relies on longstanding relationships with specialists and partner agencies. A private practice dentist provides dental care to patients CAPN refers to him one day each month. For specialty services, CAPN provides referrals to partner agencies and medical care facilities that can offer these specialty services.
Can I be seen without an ID?
Yes, ID is not required to be seen at CAPN.
